Did you know that before the American Revolution, rum was the most consumed spirit?  It seems there is a resurgence in rum drinking and culture-I am here for it!


For years, I thought rum was disgusting-I would rather drink rubbing alcohol! But, when I was given the opportunity to sample premium rum blends, my love flourished.  As with many foodies, it was love at first taste.  Where had these outstanding rums been my whole life?  I had tasted one type of rum, disliked it, and written off an entire genre of spirits.  I was a bonehead, but luckily the right rum came into my life, and I've never been the same.  It could happen to you too!


On Saturday, June 18th, 2022, the New York Rum Festival will be taking place at the Metropolitan Pavilion from 2pm to 7:30pm-depending on what activities you attend.  At the festival, you'll learn about the history of rum, taste premium blends, meet famous distillers, and attend brand seminars.  If you love all things rum and rum-related, then I will see you there.  If you don't, but are curious, then treat yourself and stop by.  I am sure you'll become a rum-lover like the rest of us!

The Spirit Industry Session consists of a 1.5-hour program (2:00 pm - 3:30 pm) offering industry professionals the opportunity to: (a) Network with the brand representative (b) Taste premium rums (c) Attend brand seminars (RSVP only as space is limited. More details soon) (d) Mingle with industry colleagues |Note: Only For members of the trade (bar, restaurant & retail sale of beer/spirits) and beverage media.

VIP Grand Tasting Session consists of a 5.5-hour program (2:00 pm - 7:30 pm) offering the attendees the opportunity to: (a) 2.5 Hour early admission (b) Exclusive tasting cup (c) Taste premium rums (d) Attend brand seminars (RSVP only as space is limited. More details soon)
