Happy Valentine's Day! Now, before you inundate me with your "woke" analysis about of this is a greeting card/chocolate/flower industrial complex holiday created to gouge innocent suckers, let me assure you that I agree.  But, it's undeniably a foodie holiday, and nothing makes amateur chefs or powerhouse five-star chefs more creative than this insipid pink and red nightmare of a day.

Some believe this holiday is set up to shame, punish, or judge those who are not lucky enough to be coupled or those that choose not to be.  I don't know about that, but I do know that loves comes in a variety of forms, and who said that Valentine's Day can't be for friends or relatives.  

Platonic and familial love are forms of affection that are highly underappreciated and often ignored.  Flip the script and reform the paradigm by giving your best friend-or friends-and family some outstanding Valentine's Day treats from the heart.
